CoNote

Delete your account and data

iOS and iPadOS Last updated August 17, 2026

CoNote works locally without an account. If you enabled Sign in with Apple and CloudKit, you can remove the optional cloud connection, collaboration profile, and associated CoNote data.

Delete CoNote cloud data

  1. Open CoNote on an Apple device using the Apple account connected to CoNote.
  2. Open Cloud Settings.
  3. Select Delete Account and confirm the deletion prompts.
  4. Choose whether to keep independent local copies or remove local content from the device.

To separately revoke CoNote's Sign in with Apple authorization, use your Apple Account settings under Sign-In & Security, then Sign in with Apple.

Data deleted

Delete Account removes CoNote CloudKit records you own, including synced CoNotes, Task Tables, task relationships and recurrence details, reminders, comments, document links, Fridge boards and layer settings, photos, revisions, edit metadata, sharing state, participant access rules, owner entitlement metadata, contribution markers, and your private collaboration profile such as its username, avatar color, and participant associations. It stops shares you created, leaves received shares, removes your access to them, and clears local cloud-account and collaboration information.

If you choose Keep Local Copies, CoNote keeps independent on-device copies with new local identities. Notes, Task Tables, photos, drawings, local categories, and privacy choices remain, while participants, comments, activity, author marks, sharing information, and cloud synchronization are removed. If you choose Remove Local Content, CoNote clears the signed-in library, its local histories and personalization attached to that library, and restores first-install content. CoNote refreshes its Spotlight index to match the resulting local library.

Data that remains or is handled separately

Documents owned by other people remain under those owners' control after your access is removed. Copies exported or saved by collaborators are not controlled by CoNote. Apple may retain backups, security logs, purchase records, and account records according to its policies.

Deleting CoNote data does not cancel a CoNote Pro subscription or delete your Apple account. Apple's subscription and transaction records, and CoNote's local StoreKit entitlement cache, are handled separately so local Pro access and subscription management can continue. Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.

If you cannot access CoNote, contact FFDEV for deletion assistance. Because private CloudKit data is controlled by your Apple account and is not directly accessible to FFDEV, you may need to complete removal through CoNote or Apple settings. Do not send your Apple password or authentication code.

FFDEV will never ask you to send your Apple password, authentication code, or full payment information.
